Unbound presents Headhunters- the collaborative force of Guy Contact & Solar Suite- bringing their deep, dub-soaked sound to the heart of the city for a late-night session at Villa Nightclub.

On Saturday 13th June, we descend to Villa nightclub for a night shaped by low-end pressure, hypnotic grooves and immersive club energy. Known for its intimate dancefloor and raw atmosphere, Villa provides the perfect setting for Headhunters’ sound to fully unfold- stripped back, driving, and built for the night.

Formed in Naarm following Guy Contact’s return from Boorloo, Headhunters is a project rooted in shared space, shared rhythm, and a natural musical chemistry. Working side by side in the studio, the duo have carved out a sound that leans into turn-of-the-century tech-house while weaving in expansive, dub-infused textures- equal parts nostalgic and forward-facing.

Their sets move with intent- rolling basslines, swirling synth work and locked-in grooves that build steadily and hit deep. It’s a sound refined through live performance and rooted in the underground, where subtle shifts carry weight and the dancefloor does the talking.

Alongside the launch of their label Strange Cargo, Headhunters continue to shape a distinct sonic identity-one that connects early influences with modern club sensibilities, delivered with clarity, patience and precision.
